Each leather camera strap is treated with natural oils to condition and protect it. Our Dark Amber Beeswax and Royal Navy finishes undergo an extensive hot waxing process using melted beeswax and other essential oils to strengthen and waterproof the leather for many years to come. (Dark Amber version shown attached to the Nikon FE) The Royal Navy Patina has undergone an extensive oil based dyeing process to attain its unique color. Each strap has been hand polished and waxed with essential oils to seal and protect, preserve and maintain the life and longevity of the leather. A small tonal variation in finished color is to be expected from strap to strap as each has been cut and dyed in a unique process.

  • Each camera strap is made from Full Grain, Cowhide leather. The underside will be beveled and sanded for a softer, comfortable fit and feel. All edges will be left unfinished and distressed for a vintage antique look.
  • Each camera strap features durable, high quality antique nickel plated solid brass rivets. 
  • A high quality matte finish nickel plated brass D ring is fitted to each strap for size adjustment
  • Each strap will be ~ 8.5" long without protective strap bumper. Strap thickness is 7 oz and width is 1/2" Measurements: (.5" x 8.5" x .125") {12.7mm x 209mm x 3.15mm}

  • TAP & DYE camera straps are compatible with all round lug mount DSLR, film SLR, digital mirror less and rangefinder cameras.

    Eight Years In With Many More To Go

    The first three I picked up were made in early 2014, fell in love with them so much I picked up a few more over the years and just recently picked up an additional three. Why do I love them so much? One, they're handmade, need I say more? Two, they're minimal, they don't get in the way and don't make your look like a photographer. Invaluable when I'm walking around in parts unknown or working a wedding. And three, they are insanely comfortable, smooth to the touch and very well made that will no doubt outlive me. Most importantly, if you're the type that prefers to not attach anything to your camera, these wrist straps are the next best thing to that while acting as stylish safety net.

    I’ve owned this wrist strap for several years now and I love it. It’s the perfect pairing for my Fuji XT3. It has worn in beautifully. It’s sturdy and strong. It started my tap & dye journey.
