Just received a beautiful strap from Tap & Dye, a huge improvement over the stock Leica strap. The Tap & Dye is expertly finished and very supple- much more comfortable than stiff straps. Highly recommend!

Justin's work is simply amazing. I was going to give four stars due to the length of time it took to get the strap (almost five months), but he was really behind due to personal or health issues. Brief observations:
Obviously artisan-made, with superb attention to details throughout the piece.
Leather very supple and one piece, not laminated strips.
Extra reinforcement stitching at tension points to prevent separation.
Where the strap keeper's ends are joined, the leather is shaved so that the overlapping ends maintain the leather's thickness.
Not sure, but it appears that the leather is aniline-dyed, which produces richer and more lasting colors that resist fading and wear. The leather also breathes more easily than with surface dyes, and it ages better without cracking. Because aniline dyes penetrate the leather, scratches and dings do not reveal bare leather underneath. Most top quality, high-end leather handbags are aniline-dyed.
Overall, most delighted with this camera strap.
