Our classic wide camera strap is now available for the Rolleiflex. This strap is hand stitched using weather treated bonded nylon tiger thread for incredible durability and strength. These straps are hand cut from premium sides and shoulders of Horween Chromexcel leather hides using a very durable 7 oz thickness. This accounts for just the right balance between flexibility and strength. Each strap will feature minimal metal components to ensure the utmost protection when stowed for transport in camera bags. 

Chromexcel is characterized by a rich pull-up in full aniline, hand rubbed finishes.  Made to this day with old world craftsmanship, modern Chromexcel carries on a long history of superior comfort and durability. Chromexcel is still produced here in the United States using a bark retannage from a proprietary recipe and then genuine hot stuffed with a secret blend of natural oils and greases.

 

Each strap will be carefully handcrafted and hand finished with the utmost attention to detail. No two will be alike making every strap unique to each owner.

  • Each camera strap is made from Full Grain, Horween Chromexcel leather. The underside will be beveled and sanded for a softer, comfortable fit and feel. All edges will be left natural for a vintage antique look. Neck pad is cut to 12" length and 1.5" wide
  • Each camera strap will have an integrated neck pad for added comfort and support. 
  • Each camera strap can be hand stitched with your choice of white, black or brown thread. Custom colors are available.
  • Rolleiflex clip attachment hardware will be securely fastened via steel rivets in assembly.

Absolutely blown away!

The strap I received from Tap & Dye is absolutely beautiful and the craftsmanship is unmatched. This was my first time purchasing a custom leather strap and I honestly can’t believe the how nice it is. I was a little hesitant about the price at first and decided to take a chance based on the photos and other client reviews. The quality is beyond what I even imagined and I can 100% say that it is worth the price. The attention to detail is phenomenal and this is the softest, most comfortable strap I have ever used. Classic camera strap from a classy business model!

From top to bottom, inside out, left to right, Tap and Dye offers a solid business practice that offers the kind of quality that is absolutely trustworthy. Made in the USA completely hand made by a singular individual, with quality core materials, I'll no trouble believing that my 5-year old will someday be wearing it with the same camera. Add to that the details I discovered in the smart packaging in shipping from the outer envelope to the inner box, all perfectly thought out.
My Hasselblad will be next for one of Justin's straps.

Wonderfully sturdy

Fantastic improvement over standard Rolleiflex strap. Sturdier and much more comfortable. Actually feel like I can trust this, and the color match was perfect for a vintage Everready case.

Great Quality Camera Strap

This camera strap was for my son for Christmas. The turn around time was off a lot, so he didn't get it in time for Christmas and I knew that was a possibility. My son loved it and said it looked great! I understand the time it takes for hand crafted items, so if you are planning to order a beautiful handmade item from Justin, especially for the holiday's order early! Like Aug. or Sept.
